I had the pleasure of working with these amazing clients from the very beginning of this house build, consulting for all interior fitting and colour selections.  It’s always an exciting day when you pull out a relatively bold tile and you get keen enthusiasm from your clients. 

 

As the build was nearing completion, the clients got back in touch to work on furnishing and styling the whole house.  We picked up from where we left off in our initial colours appointment a year prior and essentially, the use of the aqua tile featured in the bathrooms as well as this home being a stone’s throw from the beach is where inspiration was drawn for the entire concept of this house.

 

A designers dream is to have clients who trust your bold vision entirely; every inch of concepts put forward, textural layers, hand picked pieces of furniture, and the stunning art collection we curated from scratch.  The residence was essentially a blank canvas to work with and it most certainly delivered in being completely dressed up and fitted out.  To see this project going from design concepts, to gradually filling it with rugs, furniture, local artists’ original masterpieces or limited edition prints, through to every piece of linen, throw rugs and cushions has been a project I have enormous pride in.

 

It’s a testament to working collaboratively as a designer with clients, clients trusting your creative vision, saying yes to all the things and having the most incredible end result.  Feedback from Stuart and Kerri has been wonderfully rewarding as my job feels very well done, seeing how much the whole family gravitate to and love being in the space.
